Love the composition and exposure!

Lee Alloway replied:

Thank you. This was taken early on a generally overcast morning. I was fortunate to get a touch of sun illuminating the trees.

About Lee Alloway

Lee Alloway

Lee Alloway is a writer and photographer based in Northern Virginia. He started taking pictures at age six and within two years was developing his film in a makeshift darkroom. He carried his camera with him around the world throughout his childhood and busy career, capturing images of the commonplace and the out-of-place. His interest in birds and bugs has taken him from Galapagos to Kenya, with stops in Central and South American jungles along the way. His pictures have appeared in newspapers, newsletters, web sites and other publications, and frequently form the basis for illustrations in his own books of poetry and children’s verse. He is currently Author in Residence at Ancient Eagle Press.
